§ 3-1. Generally

  • (a) Motor vehicles operated on the public roadways and parking lots of the airport shall be governed by the traffic ordinances of this county and applicable state vehicle laws, and in addition thereto, no person shall operate any motor vehicle on the airport except in accordance with the rules and regulations prescribed herein.

    (b) The department of engineering and public works shall have the authority to regulate land-side traffic at the airport and shall coordinate this function with the director. The department of engineering and public works shall have the responsibility of maintenance and installation of traffic-control devices as well as the review and approval of all traffic-related planning functions and construction for the airport. These activities shall be funded by the department of airports.

    (c) The director shall have the authority to regulate air-side traffic.
